What happens during a crawl?

When you start a crawl, our engine begins at your homepage and follows every internal link it discovers. The hybrid crawler first tries fast HTML parsing with Cheerio, then falls back to Playwright browser rendering for JavaScript-heavy pages. Each page is checked for title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, canonical URLs, broken links, load times, structured data, and dozens of other signals.

The crawler respects your robots.txt rules and sitemap directives. It tracks redirect chains, identifies orphan pages, and measures Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS, TTFB, FCP) for every page. All data is stored and made available through the dashboard, API, and PDF reports.
